Early in 2011 a group of prayer and worship leaders from around the Las Vegas valley began gathering to build relationships, seek God, and break bread. Heaven seemed to take notice as the gatherings were cleared marked with Heaven’s Presence. A unified dream began to emerge-
What if we gathered the entire city’s Worship Tribe for an extended time of seeking God?
We decided that our doctrine would never unify us, nor our religious practices, But that “Jesus is Lord, and He deserves our Worship”.
This became the cry that rallied nearly the entire Las Vegas worship community for Memorial Day weekend 2012. 50 hours of non-stop worship- no preaching- no names- just Worship.
We were positioned on one of the busiest intersections in Las Vegas- The Strip and Fremont Street. Pentecostals, Baptists, Non-Denominational, COGIC, Apostolic, all worshiping together as thousands of people from all the ends of the earth visited our city.
Countless dozens were added to the faith, just by hearing the “sound” of their own musical language, the language of worship. It truly was an “Acts 2” encounter for many. It was a moment that none of us will forget, the beginning of a great movement of Worship in our city, and friendships that will continue to grow.
May the Sound continue to be released in other cities around the world!
Jesus is Lord, and He deserves our worship.
